ELE Travels to New Rochelle for Future Stars Tourney - Finishes 3-1

The Elmira Lady Express finish their first tournament of the season with 3 wins and 1 loss at the Future Stars Tournament held in New Rochelle, NY.

Saturday saw ELE pitted against the NY Lightning and the host Future Stars. Both games were fast paced and hard fought with the Express coming out on top comfortably in both contests.

Sunday action saw ELE in the first game facing the Unity Wildcats from Syracuse. The Express jumped out to an early 20 point lead in the first half. In the second half the team settled into a half court game, cruising to a double digit win.

The last game of the tourney found the Lady Express going up against the NY Knicks. The Knicks, a very athletic and talent group of Juniors from downstate. The Express brought it to within four at one point in the contest but could not close the gap. Even in the loss, the Lady Express played very hard and at a level of intensity they hope to build on through the balance of the season.
