Four players contributed to a late-game 10-2 run that carried the University of Rochester to a 67-62 women’s basketball victory over Emory University at the Louis Alexander Palestra.

The Yellowjackets trailed, 53-51, after two free throws by Emory’s Mary Smith with 4:08 to play. By the time Rochester’s Amy Woods completed a three-point play with 54 seconds left, Rochester had a 61-55 lead.

Jessica Mastronardi scored four points in the spurt – all from the foul line. Woods had three, Melissa Alwardt scored two, and Jodie Luther had one.

Luther led Rochester with 11 points. Alwardt and Madeline Korber scored 10 apiece, Woods finished with nine points and eight rebounds – five offensive. Kate Agan(Elmira Lady Express) and Mastronardi scored eight.

Whitney Martin and Melissa Koike scored 14 apiece for Emory (10-15 overall, 3-11 UAA). Becca Feldman scored 11.

Rochester is 19-6 overall, 9-5 UAA. The Yellowjackets finished tied with Brandeis for third place in the UAA standings.
